Northfield Dance Academy is dedicated to providing dancers of all ages and abilities an encouraging, welcoming, safe environment where they are given the opportunity to grow and excel in their dance education, technique and artistry. We strive to deliver the highest quality dance training and proper age appropriate technique based on kinesiology and anatomy, while nurturing each student’s unique gifts and talents and creativity. An educated and talented teaching faculty is essential to training healthy dancers and we have the most highly qualified teaching staff in the area. We also hold the deep belief, that dance is a performance art. We encourage our students to strive to reach their fullest potential through the discipline of dance, to support them as they grow artistically and academically, and develop them into well-rounded individuals. We believe that dance is a form of performance art and instill an appreciation for the art of dance.

We hold the strong belief that our community matters as we participate in local events, partner with area businesses and have our own scholarship program so that all individuals have the opportunity to experience the art of dance.  As a professor of dance at Carleton College the owner has the unique position of offering a connection to the college performance and educational opportunities to the students at NDA.

Teaching More than Dance
We believe in a fun, POSITIVE environment instilling important life values such as responsibility, time management, the ability to follow directions, and the importance of physical activity.

Quality Instruction
It is important to us that dancers are able to use their dance education in the future. A strong technical foundation in dance is priceless. We hire adult instructors that have or are working toward degrees in Dance Education or have extensive professional dance experience and training. Our instructors are friendly, communicate effectively with parents, and are responsible individuals.
